AFI Doppler
AFI Doppler is a specialized obstetric ultrasound examination that combines Amniotic Fluid Index (AFI) measurement with Doppler studies to evaluate fetal well-being.
The AFI component measures the amount of amniotic fluid surrounding the baby, which is essential for normal growth and development. Abnormal levels (too low or too high) can indicate potential complications.
The Doppler study assesses blood flow in key vessels such as the umbilical artery, uterine arteries, and fetal vessels. This helps evaluate how well oxygen and nutrients are being delivered from the placenta to the baby.
