Doppler - Renal
A Renal Doppler scan is an ultrasound test used to evaluate blood flow to and within the kidneys. It helps detect narrowing, blockage, clots, reduced circulation, kidney artery abnormalities, and conditions affecting kidney function.
DOPPLER - RENAL is a specialized ultrasound imaging test that combines standard ultrasound with Doppler technology to assess the kidneys and the blood vessels supplying them. The test provides detailed information about renal blood circulation and helps identify vascular conditions that may affect kidney function.
This scan is commonly recommended to evaluate renal artery stenosis (narrowing of kidney arteries), uncontrolled hypertension related to kidney blood flow, kidney transplant monitoring, blood clots, and other vascular abnormalities. It also helps doctors assess reduced kidney function, swelling, or suspected circulation-related kidney disease.
The procedure is non-invasive, painless, and does not use radiation. A gel is applied over the abdomen or flank region, and a handheld ultrasound probe is moved over the skin to capture images and blood flow patterns.

- Have uncontrolled or resistant hypertension
