MRI - Angio (Head and Neck) TOF
MRI – Angio (Head and Neck) TOF (Time-of-Flight Magnetic Resonance Angiography) is an advanced imaging procedure that focuses on detailed evaluation of arterial blood vessels in the brain and neck using non-contrast techniques. It uses the natural flow of blood to generate high-resolution images of arteries.
This scan provides clear visualization of major vessels such as the carotid and vertebral arteries, as well as intracranial arteries. It is highly effective in detecting abnormalities such as arterial narrowing (stenosis), blockages, aneurysms, and arteriovenous malformations (AVMs).
MRI TOF Angiography is particularly beneficial for patients who cannot receive contrast agents due to allergies or kidney-related issues. It is commonly used in evaluating stroke risk, transient ischemic attacks (TIA), and other vascular conditions.
