USG - Abdomen + TVS
USG - Abdomen + TVS is a combined ultrasound scan used to evaluate abdominal organs along with detailed imaging of the female pelvic organs through transvaginal ultrasound.
USG - Abdomen + TVS combines a standard abdominal ultrasound with a Transvaginal Sonography (TVS) scan to provide comprehensive evaluation of the abdomen and female reproductive organs. The abdominal ultrasound assesses organs such as the liver, gallbladder, kidneys, pancreas, spleen, and urinary bladder, while the TVS scan provides detailed imaging of the uterus, ovaries, cervix, and pelvic structures.
This test is commonly recommended to investigate abdominal pain, pelvic pain, menstrual irregularities, infertility concerns, ovarian cysts, fibroids, urinary symptoms, or other gynecological conditions. The transvaginal component offers clearer and more detailed pelvic imaging compared to routine abdominal ultrasound.
The procedure is safe, minimally invasive, painless or mildly uncomfortable, and does not involve radiation exposure. It is performed by trained ultrasound specialists using external and internal ultrasound probes.
