USG - Triplets Early TAS

USG - TRIPLETS EARLY TAS is a transabdominal ultrasound scan conducted during the early stages of a triplet pregnancy. This scan uses sound waves to create images of the uterus and developing fetuses through the abdomen.

The examination helps confirm the presence of three fetuses, assess gestational age, detect fetal heart activity, and evaluate early fetal growth and development. It also helps determine chorionicity and amnionicity, which indicate whether the babies share placentas or amniotic sacs—an important factor in managing multiple pregnancies.

The scan also evaluates the uterus, placenta, cervix, and amniotic fluid, helping doctors identify early pregnancy complications such as bleeding, abnormal implantation, or developmental concerns. Early monitoring is especially important in triplet pregnancies due to the higher risk associated with multiple gestations.

This scan is commonly recommended during the first trimester as part of routine prenatal assessment and high-risk pregnancy care.
