X-ray - Bilateral Knee AP
The X-ray – Bilateral Knee AP is a diagnostic imaging procedure used to examine both knee joints through an anteroposterior (AP) view. This front-facing view allows clear visualization of the femur, tibia, fibula, and joint spaces of both knees.
Imaging both knees simultaneously provides a valuable side-by-side comparison, helping to identify asymmetry, joint space narrowing, deformities, or subtle abnormalities that may not be evident when examining a single knee.
This test is commonly used to detect fractures, degenerative changes such as osteoarthritis, joint alignment issues, and other structural abnormalities. It is especially useful in evaluating chronic knee pain, swelling, or stiffness, as well as in monitoring progression of joint conditions.
